This Undrafted Free Agent is Guaranteed to Make the Seattle Seahawks

No team in the league turns undrafted players into starters at a higher rate than the Seattle Seahawks, and their 2020 free agency haul could help them once again find a starter to two as they try to take back the NFC West.

The player with the best chance at sticking in Seattle this time around? Former Washington State quarterback Anthony Gordon, who threw for 5,579 yards in Mike Leach's Air Raid attack last season. While many analysts had him graded as an equal or better prospect compared to Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts, Hurts was picked in the second round and Gordon went mysteriously undrafted.

Gordon has his negatives, as his overly relaxed demeanor in the pocket, poor mobility, and overconfidence in his arm got him into trouble in Pullman, but there is reason Gordon only threw for 200 fewer yards than Joe Burrow despite playing two fewer games.

Gordon can throw some absolute laser beams across the field, so arm strength won't be an issue, but his accuracy to all areas of the field is his best trait, as evidenced by his 72% completion rate. Able to squeeze the ball into tight windows and drop it into a bucket from 50 yards away, Gordon's arm talent made him one of the more impressive quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl.

With no other QBs on the roster besides Russell Wilson, Gordon is slated to be the backup guy, and he has more than enough juice in his arm and a high enough football IQ to man that role.

Gordon couldn't have landed in a better spot as an undrafted free agent, as the California native and Wazzu alum can keep firing darts in the Pacific Northwest as Wilson's deputy.
