This Undrafted Free Agent is Guaranteed to Make the Green Bay Packers
By Michael Luciano

The Green Bay Packers already added one Utah State star that wore No. 10 in quarterback Jordan Love, so why not ad another in the form of pass rusher Tipa Galaei?
Love's college teammate joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent, and he has a good chance at making the roster given how poorly the Packers drafted in 2020.
#Packers signed edge rusher Tipa Galeai as a UDFA, per source. He was Jordan Love's teammate at Utah State last season.

Galeai was originally a TCU pass rusher, but he was kicked out of the Horned Frogs program after being found guilty of assaulting two men in 2017. He rehabilitated his career in Logan, recording 15 sacks in two seasons.
Galeai is a really puzzling evaluation. On one hand, he is a rail-thin defensive end at 230 pounds that doesn't defend the run very well, struggles to disengage from blocks, and was dominated against LSU, his best competition to date.
On the other end, Galeai explodes off the edge with reckless abandon, and his speed, refined pass rush moves like a nasty spin and solid cross chop, and ability to drop into coverage make him build for a 3-4 pass rusher role that will let him use his athleticism in coverage. That sounds exactly like what Mike Pettine tasks his edge rushers to do.

Over the last 2 years at Utah State, Galeai totaled 15 sacks, 22.5 TKFL, 119 tackles, 2 INTs, and 3 FF's.

A conversion to inside linebacker isn't totally off the table, either.
Galeai's character concerns and limited strength made drafting him a hard sell for most GMs in the league, but there will always be a need for speed off the edge, and Galeai has enough to stick in Green Bay.
