Unidentified NFL Player Reportedly Suing United Airlines Over Alleged Sexual Harassment
By Scott Rogust
The NFL hasn't had the greatest week in terms of public relations. Current and former players like DeAndre Baker, Quinton Dunbar, Cody Latimer, and Antonio Morrison all found themselves on the wrong side of the law and face a range of serious criminal allegations. Now, the script has fiipped.
According to Bleacher Report's Master Tesfatison, an anonymous NFL player has filed a lawsuit against United Airlines over an alleged sexual assault from a female passenger that was not properly dealt with.
The incident took place on a flight from Los Angeles, Calif. to Newark, NJ. The unidentified player was wearing a mask over concerns of contracting COVID-19, and once he entered the plane, he received "multiple unwanted sexual advances" from the passenger in question. Additionally, the woman reportedly called the player's mask "frightening."
It allegedly took four complaints from the player for flight attendants to move the passenger to another seat. Once she was forced to move, she allegedly pulled off his mask and groped him. The player said the passenger was intoxicated while taking prescription pills.
As it turns out, another passenger had similar complaints about the woman, and filed a lawsuit along with the unnamed NFL player. The suit says that the incident could've been avoided if the flight attendants had acted earlier. Not only that, but they wanted to raise awareness for sexual assault against men..
United Airlines has yet to comment on the allegations as of this writing.
