Update on Rockets' Tension Proves There's a Serious Problem Between James Harden and Chris Paul
By Sean Facey

James Harden and Chris Paul may not have won an NBA Finals yet, but their brief two-year stint together on the Houston Rockets has produced back-to-back playoff berths and a Western Conference Finals appearance.
It's also not working out.
It seems the inability to finish the job has created some tension in the locker room, and the latest news on the grumblings in Houston prove that Harden and Paul have a serious relationship problem.

Paul reportedly wants no part of playing in Houston anymore, and some have termed relations between the two as "unsalvageable."
At one point during the year, the two allegedly went two months without speaking to each other.
Neither one is willing to give the other the respect they deserve, and it's destroyed any chance of solid team chemistry in the locker room.
Oh boy... @VinceGoodwill reports “Harden hasn’t returned Paul’s repeated attempts at communicating this offseason.”

There are few teams that need a point guard, especially an aging one like Chris Paul set to earn $125 million over the next three years. Won’t be easy to deal CP3. https://t.co/ZFSfTg0y53
Things almost never go right when the two star players of an organization are butting heads in such dramatic fashion. There can't be cracks in the foundation of the team if there's to be any hope for success.
What's evident now is that the two simply don't think much of each other, and the midseason stretch in 2019 during which Harden leveled up and carried the team with unprecedented ball dominance can't have sat well with Paul. Based on this update, it seems they've put their own personal feud ahead of the team in terms of importance.
"Chris (Paul) wants to coach James (Harden)," the source said. "James looks at him like, 'You can't even beat your man. Just shut up and watch me.'"
