Urban Meyer Tweets Out Awesome Photo of Joe Burrow and Chase Young Scrimmaging at Ohio State
By Jerry Trotta
When you think of the best college football players from the 2019 campaign, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and Ohio State defensive end Chase Young are probably the first two names to roll off the tongue, and for good reason.
The former went on to win the National Championship and was rightfully awarded the Heisman Trophy. By statistical measures, he amassed a historic season under center in Baton Rouge. The latter, meanwhile, established himself as the most terrorizing pass rusher in the nation and helped lead the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff Semifinal. He too was a Heisman finalist.
Once upon a time, however, Burrow and Young were teammates in Columbus and former OSU head coach Urban Meyer tweeted out an awesome photo of the two stars going head-to-head during a Buckeyes scrimmage.
It's really bizarre to think that Burrow and Young once walked the Columbus campus at the same time. Now, if projections hold true, they'll be drafted back-to-back in the 2020 NFL Draft with the No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks.
At the very least, the two studs will be top-three or top-five selections.
Perhaps this picture will be recreated on an NFL field in due time.
We could only be so lucky.
