USWNT dominates Germany and books its trip to the Olympics knockout stages

This was the kind of showing USWNT fans were hoping to see out of the red, white and blue. Over in France, Emma Hayes' team had a huge showdown with Germany at the Olympics. Keep in mind that Germany is the No. 4 team in the world and the U.S. is No. 5.
Well, things didn't look that way on Sunday. That's because Mallory Swanson, Sophia Smith and Lynn Williams scored impressive goals to help lead the way.

Smith was no question the player of the match, as she scored two goals in this one. Germany tied things up at 1-1 in the first half, but it was all USA after that. Next up is a match with Australia, but the squad has already punched its ticket to the knockout stages.
