If there's one thing that basketball fans hate, it's flopping. Yes, it works to a team's advantage, but it can also be to their detriment, depending on who's officiating the game. Luckily for the Utah Utes, the refs were on their side. During Wednesday's game against the Kentucky Wildcats, forward Kahlil Whitney drove to the basketball and made slight (SLIGHT) contact with Utah forward Riley Battin, who collapsed on the court. It was obviously embellishment, but the referees actually called Whitney for charging.

Brutal, inexcusable call. How on Earth was that a charge?
NCAA referees should get impromptu eye exams as a result of this malpractice. Whoever doesn't pass, they're out. Plain and simple.
Ultimately, Kentucky fell in a shocker 69-66 and...probably could've used the points that got firmly taken off the board by this egregious flop.
Losing stinks and we are still trying to figure this out, but I like the fact that we had a will to win at the end. For the other 30 minutes, they were the aggressor and they were the fighters. We were not.

Yeah, not sure they were "aggressors" here, Coach Cal, but still, you've got the right sentiment. Regroup, and stop lightly tapping people.
