This one must really sting for anybody with rooting interest in the Buckeyes. With the team's top cornerbacks Jeff Okudah and Damon Arnette likely heading to the NFL following this season, the expected arrival of 4-star DB Clark Phillips had been a big component of the team's contingency plan for most of the season.

Unfortunately for OSU, Phillips flipped his months-long commitment today, opting to sign with Utah.

To add insult to injury, the Utes decided to troll Ryan Day and Ohio State on Twitter. I mean, this is just cold.

This rib comes at the expense of THE Ohio State University, who attempted to trademark to entirely-uppercase "THE" for branding purposes. The Utes are clearly feeling themselves right now. It's not often you see a Pac-12 program take it to a Big Ten powerhouse.

While this hurts a little for Ohio State, they still welcomed in a great 2020 class and are getting ready to play No. 3 Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal. Hey, things could be worse.
