Vic Fangio Basically Threw Drew Lock Right Under the Bus

For a young quarterback, there's nothing more important than earning the trust of your head coach early on.

Well, it's safe to say the complete opposite has been the case for Denver Broncos signal caller Drew Lock. Following Denver's 14-10 win over the Falcons in Thursday's Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, Broncos coach Vic Fangio couldn't have been less impressed with the QB:

Umm, thanks Mr. Fangio? Yup, the first-year Broncos head man made it crystal clear he didn't like what he saw out of the former Missouri QB. It's tough to argue with him too.

In his first NFL game, Lock went 7-of-11 for 34 yards. Averaging 3.1 yards per completion is something you'd see in the Pop Warner league, not at the professional level.

Yikes, those numbers look even worse when Lio is right there laughing in your face. Obviously, Lock is still a youngster and will be improving on a daily basis.

But, he's going to have to speed up his progressions and make some noise quickly to try and get on his head coach's good side. The last thing he needs is another Fangio quote basically sending him to the practice squad.
