VIDEO: 76ers Honor Kobe Bryant With No. 8 and 24 Jerseys and Lower Merion Tribute

After the shocking passing of Kobe Bryant on Sunday, organizations from all around the world have organized tributes to the Lakers legend. Sunday night, teams around the NBA took 24-second violations in tribute to Kobe, and on Tuesday in his hometown of Philadelphia, the 76ers have paid respect to Kobe in various ways. First, the team took the court wearing both No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys for warmups.

A beautiful way to honor someone that meant so much to the game of basketball. The tributes didn't stop there. The 76ers also chose to memorialize Kobe's high school number on the court, as a reminder of where his famous basketball story began.
The No. 33 was painted onto the court in maroon and white, Lower Merion High School's colors.
Finally, the 76ers orchestrated a 33-second moment of silence ahead of the game. The team also showed a video of his final game in Philadelphia during his farewell tour.
This week won't get any easier, and these moments of honoring Kobe Bryant will help a league of players and fans grieve a horrible loss.
