VIDEO: Aaron Hicks Ties it in the 9th Inning With Clutch Homer at Tampa Bay
By Sean Facey
For the second night in a row, Aaron Hicks has played the role of hero for the Yankees. With his team down to their last strike, Hicks ripped a game-tying solo home run against the Tampa Bay Rays to knot the game at 3-3.
Hicks came up with a clutch pinch-hit home run on Friday night in the top of the eighth, one that was crucial to the Yankees' 8-4 win in extra innings.
It's just the latest moment in a solid stretch of baseball for the veteran centerfielder. Hicks is slugging .490 since the start of June with 7 home runs and 19 runs batted in as the Yankees continue to play dominant baseball.
