VIDEO: Aaron Judge and Luke Voit Prove Just How Much Yankees Appreciated Aaron Boone's Rant
By Daniel Marcillo

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided a classic ejection in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader. It certainly saved his players from getting tossed as the game dragged on, and may have inspired these savages to victory, and they showed their appreciation after the contest

When a manager stands up for his players, like Boone did, he gains respect from the whole crew and sparks a fire under his team.
Aaron Judge has been given the worst calls out of any Yankee this season. He always seems calm and unbothered by that, but it is frustrating to lose an at-bat due to horrible ball and strike judgment.
Call it good pitch framing by Blue Jays' Luke Maile.

Call it a bad ump call.

Luke Voit, too, certainly appreciated being called a savage by his manager. As if this team needed a new rallying cry.

In his second season, Boone has shown how great of a manger he is. He has been a great game strategist and leader for the Bronx Bombers. Players today want a manager who can relate with them, and Boone is certainly a players' manager.
Earning the respect of star players, like Judge and Voit, pushes the rest of the team to follow their lead and play hard every night. It will be exciting to see Boone bring this type of intensity even more as we get closer to October.
