VIDEO: Aaron Judge Unleashes Opposite Field Homer to Draw First Blood in Toronto
By Michael Luciano
When the Toronto Blue Jays close their eyes, they have nightmares of Aaron Judge finding the bleachers in the Rogers Centre. Judge took a meatball from Wilmer Font 348 feet to the opposite field, giving the New York Yankees an early 1-0 lead over Toronto in Jordan Montgomery's return to action.
The home run was Judge's 23rd of the season.
The Yankees can't afford to drop winnable games against a rebuilding Toronto team as they look to fend off the Houston Astros and take the No. 1 seed in the AL playoffs. Judge is making sure that the Yankees head into October hot.
