VIDEO: Aaron Rodgers Talks About 'New Energy' in Packers Locker Room in Interview With NBC
By Andy Loughmiller
The Green Bay Packers are feeling awfully good coming off of their 42-24 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 7. Their superstar quarterback believes that the team's new and improved locker room dynamic has contributed to their success this season, as he revealed in a new interview with NBC Sports' Mike Tirico.
Rodgers notes that the Packers have a youthful energy about them, and that he believes that this is one of the closest teams he's been a part of in his career as an NFL quarterback.
The veteran signal-caller also went on to say that his relationship with first-year head coach Matt LaFleur has been great. They have not let the media's interpretation of their relationship affect their play on the field.
The latest postgame interaction between Rodgers and LaFleur in which the coach awarded his quarterback the game ball after their Week 7 win, suggests that the two are on legitimately good terms. Additionally, it displays the "new energy" that Rodgers is talking about.
Green Bay has an opportunity to build on their early season momentum in primetime when the Packers head to Arrowhead to take on the Mahomes-less Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 8. If they can manage to harness this energy and escape with a win, dreams of another Super Bowl title won't feel so far-fetched.
