VIDEO: Aaron Rodgers Uses Golf Analogy to Discuss His NFL Career Nearing its End
By Scott Rogust
The Green Bay Packers enter Week 14 with a 9-3 record following their relatively easy victory over the New York Giants. After missing the postseason in two consecutive years, the Packers made uncharacteristic changes by firing Mike McCarthy and spending a plethora of money in free agency. Now with Matt LaFleur leading the team, Green Bay is bound for a playoff berth. When talking to the media, Aaron Rodgers used a golf analogy to describe why he's all-in on this season, and how he knows his career won't last forever.
Rodgers referenced the 18th hole in terms of his career approaching its end. While he wasn't necessarily hinting at retiring in the near future, the 36-year-old realizes he only has so many years left in the league.
This is one of the most talented Packers' teams Rodgers has ever played for, and he claims to have recognized that during the spring.
With the NFC wide open, who's to say the Green Bay Packers can't make a deep run? Those odds are especially greater when Aaron Rodgers is playing under center.
