VIDEO: ABC Makes Funny Mistake When Trying to Use Texas QB Sam Ehlinger's Mom to Introduce Him

It seems like the ABC production team was having technical difficulties during the Texas Longhorns vs. LSU Tigers game. When the starting offensive unit for the Texas was being announced, ABC was going to play a clip of Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger's mom introducing him. However, it seems as though they had an unexpected error, and had a freeze frame on just her face for a few seconds before cutting back to the game.

It absolutely would have been a special moment for the Ehlinger family, as they would have surely been proud to see this moment on television. Now they'll have to wait for another chance.

Ehlinger had a solid sophomore season for Texas, putting up 3,292 yards with 25 touch downs and just five interceptions as he led the Longhorns to a victory in the Sugar Bowl over the Georgia Bulldogs. After starting his junior year off strong with a four touchdown performance against Louisiana Tech, he'll have a tough test on Saturday night against a stout LSU defense.

Hopefully the technical difficulties surrounding the Ehlinger family don't translate to the field.
