VIDEO: Adam Eaton and Anthony Rendon Go Back-to-Back off Trevor Bauer as Nats Pounce on Reds
By Jerry Trotta

Trevor Bauer is definitely going to want to forget Wednesday afternoon's outing against the Washington Nationals. The unfortunate narrative here, however, is that the former All-Star was cruising until the bottom half of the fifth inning. Upon conceding RBI base knocks to the likes of Stephen Strasburg and Trea Turner, the Nats caught Bauer with the long ball. Check out Adam Eaton parking a fastball into the deepest part of the ballpark to extend Washington's lead to 6-1:

Anthony Rendon was the next better and decided to one-up his teammate when he stepped into the dish by tattooing a hanging breaking ball into virtually the same section of Nationals Park. His 26th dinger of 2019 is actually a new career-high for the star third baseman.

A fastball right down broadway and a meatball of a curve ball? Seriously, Bauer? We know you didn't have your typical lights-out stuff, but mistakes like these are easily avoidable.
Eaton and Rendon are too accomplished of hitters to not make the right-handed hurler pay. And they did just that here.
