With Max Scherzer twirling an absolute gem on the bump and already trailing the Washington Nationals 1-0 entering the eighth inning of Game 2, the last thing the St. Louis Cardinals needed to do was concede insurance runs. Well, things ended up not working out so well for Mike Schildt's side. With runners on first and second, Adam Eaton stepped into the dish and delivered for his club, smacking a two-run double down the right field line off Adam Wainwright to extend Washington's lead to 3-0.
