VIDEO: Adam Eaton Makes Famous Celebration a Reality by Revving Engine at Nationals Parade
By Parker White
There are so many things to love about this Washington Nationals team, and the dugout celebrations are no exception. For outfielder Adam Eaton and infielder Howie Kendrick, their celebration became known throughout the baseball world during the Nationals playoff run. Eaton and Kendrick would get on the bench and pretend to "ignite the clutch" of a car. The Nats outfielder actually did that with a real car during the Nationals' World Series parade in a moment fans won't soon forget.
I'd say Eaton has been practicing for this moment his entire life, or at least this season after going bridge.
To make this moment even more perfect, Eaton and Kendrick need to get in cars and do this together side-by-side. It just isn't the same without the NLCS MVP.
Since being acquired from the White Sox, Eaton has become a stable force in the Washington lineup when healthy. Of course, that durability issue can rear its head from time to time, but the 30-year-old played in over 150 games in 2019, proving just how capable this Nats lineup can be with him in it.
