VIDEO: Adult Redskins Fan Snatches Ball Away From Kid After Jets Touchdown
The New York Jets played the Washington Redskins in one of the least intriguing matchups of the NFL season on Sunday. The teams have less than five wins combined, so understandably no one really cared about this game other than the diehard fans. Well, one passionate young Jets fan was about to receive the gift of a lifetime as wide receiver Robby Anderson leapt into the crowd after scoring a touchdown. When he went to give the ball to the young fan, it was stolen by a classless Redskins supporter.
The adult Redskins fan ruthlessly snatched the ball from the grasp of the youngster. The kid had a huge smile on his face, but before he knew it he had lost his prize to the greedy fan.
Unfortunately Anderson was too busy celebrating the six points to notice the theft.
We get it, Redskins fans haven't had much to cheer about lately. Hell, they even started a chant calling for Dan Snyder to sell the team. But for a fan to steal a game ball -- from a touchdown scored by the opposing team, no less -- and deny this child the opportunity for a lifelong memory is truly out of order.
Thankfully, the young Jets fan still looked overjoyed about his team scoring, even after having that football stolen from him. Hopefully the team can figure out a way to get this kid some memorabilia.
