VIDEO: Albert Pujols' Wife Has Emotional Reaction to St. Louis Welcoming Him Home

Albert Pujols was treated to an emotional hero's welcome when he returned to St. Louis on Friday. But perhaps most heartwarming was his wife's emotional reaction to the reception he received from the Cardinals crowd, especially following the home run he blasted on Saturday afternoon.

"That probably was the most special thing I have seen in his whole career," said Deidre Pujols of the ovation he received following his home run on Saturday.

It's not everyday that the home crowd roars for an opposing player, but then again, a player of Pujols' caliber doesn't exactly come around every day either after an eight-year absence. During his 11 years with the Cardinals, he posted a 1.037 OPS and slugged an absurd 445 home runs.

It's another special moment in the illustrious career of one of the greatest players to ever set foot on an MLB diamond.
