By Karl Rasmussen
Alex Bregman is looking to claim the AL MVP from the injured Mike Trout while the Angels star in on the shelf. Bregman has been scalding hot to close out the regular season, and now against Trout's own team, the 'Stros third baseman launched his 41st bomb of the year, and his sixth in the last 11 games.
Bregman has certainly turned in a season worthy of the MVP award, as he's now up to 41 bombs, 111 RBI and has an OPS over 1.000.
The Astros are hoping their superstar infielder can continue to rake at this level as October comes around.
