VIDEO: Andre Iguodala Calls Out Steph Curry's Haters on 'First Take'
By Joey Mauceri
The Golden State Warriors were dethroned earlier this month, as the two-time reigning NBA champions were defeated in six games by the Toronto Raptors in the Finals. Despite averaging 30.5 points over the course of the six games, Warriors superstar Steph Curry did come up small in the fourth quarter of Game 6, shooting just 1-for-6 from the field and missing the potential game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds of the loss. Curry has received a lot of criticism in the past, and that has only continued, as his haters have come out in full force following the fated L. With good spirits, teammate Andre Iguodala took to ESPN's 'First Take' to defend Steph on Friday.
That's pretty admirable for Iguodala to go out of his way to defend his teammate like that.
He does raise some pretty good points regarding the unnecessary hate that Curry receives. At the end of the day, Curry is a good guy and an incredible player. A lot of the hate he receives is, as Iguodala says, likely stemming from jealousy.
