VIDEO: Andre Iguodala Explains How Profound His Love for Steph Curry Really is
Every NBA player has a time limit, a sort of expiration date. No matter how talented a player is, it's human nature for the body to wear down over time, and players become less effective with age. Well, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala discussed his future in the league, saying that his body still feels good. But he oddly confessed that Steph Curry is the reason he's still in the league.
"Steph [Curry] is the reason why I play basketball. Steph Curry is my guy. I'm kind of like a--I always joked about guys like 'Who are you? The security for the superstar on your team?' I actually joke about other guys, but I'm learning that I'm going to become security for Steph."

Steph Curry is an essential piece to the Warriors puzzle and was a key component in achieving their first championship. Iguodala knows his role isn't to dominate the ball, but instead make sure that Curry has room to rain down threes and attack the basket.
Acting as Curry's security has extended Iguodala's career, and it seems he's more than willing to take a backseat in order to help the team compete. Iggy says he'll keep playing for as long as he's enjoying the game, and it seems that helping out Curry has enabled him to keep relishing his trade.
Iguodala, 35, has played in the league for 15 years, making his debut with the 76ers back in 2004. His veteran experience makes the one-time All-Star a valuable asset for the Warriors, and playing alongside the best sharpshooter in the league has kept Iguodala content in his role.
While he's no longer going to drop 17 points per night, he'll make other vital contributions that prove pivotal to Golden State's success. After all, he won the 2015 Finals MVP for a reason.
