VIDEO: Andre Iguodala Saying He Plays Injured for Steph Curry is Weird
By Zack Jiang

Andre Iguodala came up big for the Warriors in Game 2 as he hit a dagger three to put the Warriors up five with less than 10 seconds left. More impressively, Iguodala did so after coming back from a leg injury he suffered in the first half of the game. During the postgame interviews, he was asked on why he plays injured, and his response was a little bizarre:
"I like Steph. He’s a good dude. ... I’m trying to do whatever it takes to protect his legacy. I’m all for it."

I guess he has a really strong bromance with Steph Curry?
Iggy and Curry have been together since the '13-14 season, and were part of the original core that won the first championship in 2015. Iggy also speaks the truth when he cites Curry as one of the most unfairly criticized players in the league. But to name him as the reason that he plays through injury is still...very odd.
"The whole fourth quarter they were playing some janky defense ... Over the course of the game, it's kinda disrespectful to leave Andre Iguodala open like that. ... He's made big shots like that before."

Whatever his motivation is, Iguodala is desperately needed for the currently thin Warriors rotation. So if Curry is really the reason he plays through injury, Golden State better hope the duo stays best friends for the rest of the series.
