The Red Sox and Dodgers are locked in extra innings, tied at 4-4. When the Dodgers were presented with a chance to take the lead, they went for it, sending Alex Verdugo home on a single to left field. Andrew Benintendi fielded the ball cleanly and threw a missile to home plate, beating Verdugo by a few steps to prevent the Dodgers from gaining an 11th-inning lead.
