Andrew Luck should not be ridiculed, but celebrated. The now-former Indianapolis Colts QB announced his retirement from the NFL on Saturday night in a shocking decision none of us saw coming. Yet, after that initial outburst is a level of understanding most of us can only hop to achieve.

Luck stepped to the podium to address these now-founded rumors, and said goodbye to the only franchise he's ever known.

Luck was booed off the field by Colts fans upon learning his decision, but surely this is not representative of the entire fanbase.

In this moment, Luck showed us a level of depth we never knew he had, as the former Stanford signal-caller discussed the emotional and gut-wrenching thought process behind leaving the game he used to love. Quite simply, it wasn't fun anymore.

Luck didn't want to paint the entire Colts fanbase as unappreciative, but he did not hold back when stating how much it hurt to be booed in his final opportunity to leave Lucas Oil Stadium as a player.
