VIDEO: Andruw Jones Hits Absolute Bomb Home Run in CC Sabathia Charity Softball Game

The stars were out in the Bronx Thursday night as longtime Yankees starter CC Sabathia held his annual charity celebrity softball event at Yankee Stadium. Among the participants were celebrities like Jamie Foxx and Fat Joe, along with former big league sluggers like the legendary Atlanta Braves center fielder Andruw Jones. Apparently, Jones has not lost a drop of power since his retirement, as he launched an absolute tater on Thursday during the event.

Off Action Bronson, too, so that's basically a dinger off Andy Pettitte in Game 1 of the '96 Series.

Okay, I'm pretty sure softballs are not meant to be hit that far. Not only did that baby clear the fence that was set up for the game, but it landed in the first row of the left field seats!

Of course Jones is no stranger to crushing homers; he slugged 434 of them during his excellent 17-year big league career, including 27 as a member of the Yankees.

Hey, with all the injuries the Yankees currently have, maybe they should offer him a contract? He clearly can still mash, and personally, I'd take him over Greg Bird in a heartbeat.
