VIDEO: Anthony Davis Comes up Huge for Lakers vs Kings With Late Block to Seal the Win
By Jerry Trotta
LeBron James was the talk of the Los Angeles Lakers during and after their win against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, and rightfully so. The King logged 29 points and 11 assists, highlighted with a thunderous posterization of Nemanja Bjelica. However, it was Anthony Davis who played hero for the Lakers. In the closing seconds, Harrison Barnes drove to the basket after splitting a double team with the intentions of tying things up at 99, but The Brow had other plans, as he challenged and rejected Barnes at the rim to seal the W for LA.
Truth be told, that was a nifty cut by Barnes to get himself open, but he probably trembled in fear as soon as he realized that it was the 6-10 Davis who would be meeting him at the rim.
Thanks to Davis, the Lakers improved to 10-2 on the year and still sit atop the Western Conference standings.
