VIDEO: Anthony Rendon Delivers RBI Base Knock Off Justin Verlander to Open Scoring in Game 6
By Scott Rogust

The Washington Nationals suffered an inopportune batting slump during their three-game home stand in the World Series, especially with runners in scoring position. That problem appears to be gone in World Series Game 6 on Tuesday. With Trea Turner on second base in the top of the first inning, Anthony Rendon laced an RBI single off Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander, giving the Nationals an early 1-0 lead.

If this series showed fans anything, it's that if you want to score runs off Verlander, you have to do it from the get-go. Anthony Rendon accomplished just that.
