VIDEO: Anthony Rizzo Hammers Solo Jack to Extend Cubs' Lead Over Washington
By Seth Carlson
The Cubs are coming to play in their series finale against the Washington Nationals. Having scored two runs in the first two innings off Nationals' starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, first baseman Anthony Rizzo turned on an 89 mph fastball and deposited it deep into the left field seats for a solo home run.
The oppo taco blast was Rizzo's 11th of the season and extended the Cubs lead to 3-0 heading into the 4th inning. So far, so good for the North Siders on Sunday Night Baseball.
