VIDEO: Anthony Rizzo Sliding Down Hill With Little League World Series Players is Totally Adorable
By Jerry Trotta
When you look around Major League Baseball, there are few players who enjoy themselves off the diamond as much as Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo. It was no surprise that the three-time All-Star partook in the Little League World Series' signature slide down the hill behind BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field on Sunday, joining a bunch of children in shredding down the hill on a flattened cardboard box.
There's no doubting that Rizzo is doing this for the kids, which is simply par for the course for the selfless superstar, however, it's apparent that he is having an abundance of fun here. That fact alone is a perfect testament as to why he's one of the game's most compelling players.
Rizzo wasn't the only Cub to get in on the fun, as manager Joe Maddon was also seen ripping it down the hill.
It's good to see the pair finding the time to have some fun for the kids, especially given they're preparing for their Sunday Night Baseball showdown with the Pirates.
