VIDEO: App State is Effortlessly Dominating the Ragin' Cajuns in Sun Belt Championship
By Chris Pyo
In some Sun Belt Championship action, No. 21 Appalachian State is comfortably beating the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C. The Mountaineers started the game off with an easy screen pass on 3rd-and-15 that somehow went for 58 yards and the first score of the game, courtesy of Darrynton Evans.
Evans followed that up with an eight-yard touchdown run three minutes later, and then caught yet another touchdown pass late in the first quarter to extend Appalachian State's lead to 21-0.
The Ragin' Cajuns got one score back on a 37-yard touchdown from Levi Lewis to Peter LeBlanc.
However, Appalachian State refused to take their foot off the gas pedal, as they scored again early in the second quarter to solidify their lead.
The Mountaineers offense is absolutely clicking as they dropped 35 points on Louisiana-Lafayette in the first half of the Sun Belt Championship, putting up five offensive touchdowns.
