VIDEO: Astros Fan Trolls Yankees Fans at ALCS Game 4 and Gets Pelted With Beer and Popcorn
By Jerry Trotta
Fans of opposing teams have to be staggeringly pledged and courageous to brave the daunting confines of Yankee Stadium during October. If you're reasonably quiet and go about your business, you might be able to escape without being embarrassed within an inch of your life. However, one particular Houston Astros devotee wanted ALL of the smoke during Friday night's Game 5 of the ALCS. While being escorted out by security, the buff brazenly trolled a sea of Yankees supporters while holding up a 3-1 sign on his fingers to indicate Houston's former lead in the series. What ensued was kind of expected, as the fan paid the price by being showered with copious amounts of beer and popcorn:
It's important to note that the fan was actually being escorted out for an earlier incident that has not yet been disclosed. As it turns out, the Yankees fans were actually giving him one final sendoff before he was ushered out of the Stadium.
Let this pelting of beer and popcorn serve as a future reminder to all those who have the stones to partake in banter in the Bronx during the postseason.
Luckily enough for Astros fans, they won't have to play another playoff game at Yankee Stadium until at least 2020.
