VIDEO: Astros' Justin Verlander Sets MLB Record With 200th Career Postseason Strikeout
By Thomas Carannante

It was a rough start for Justin Verlander, but he got out of a jam in the first inning after allowing two runs and seems to be back on track. He's already got four strikeouts through two innings of work, which is impressive enough. But that's not all. He reached an incredible milestone with his 200th career postseason strikeout, which is now an MLB record.

That's career postseason strikeout No. 200 for @JustinVerlander. He's the first pitcher in MLB history to reach the milestone. pic.twitter.com/P5x2mqsqQr
Completely iced Victor Robles. Maybe next time, bud.
Just another resume-building statistic for JV's Hall of Fame case. Topping this list? Legendary.

This number will only increase as the night (and series) goes on, and Kershaw will have a lot of ground to make up after the Dodgers' early exit this year.
