VIDEO: Astros Slugger Yordan Alvarez Obliterates Baseball to Another Dimension
By Adam Weinrib

Yordan Alvarez is a luxury item in Houston, but he's swiftly become indispensable. Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and George Springer are all great (read: they are VERY great), but Alvarez can do something to a baseball that none of them are quite able to. We dare you to follow the full flight of this home run he tagged Tuesday; it may have burned up in the atmosphere?

Solid throw-in in a Josh Fields trade, we'd say. Wild to think Alvarez could've been a DODGER, if things had fallen differently.
This is Alvarez's 14th of the season. He's also hitting .340. If you believe things like "Statcast," this baseball traveled only 436 feet, instead of "into oblivion".
That home run was 112.5 mph off Yordan Alvarez's bat. It traveled 436 feet, according to Statcast

Personally, we're ready for Alvarez to register the first October composed entirely of intentional walks.
