VIDEO: Astros' Wade Miley Scoop Blooper Leads to 2 Runs Somehow Scoring on White Sox Bunt
By Sean Facey
All of you who advocate for the bunt are going to eat this play up. With runners on second and third and one man out in the inning, the White Sox infielder Yolmer Sanchez ran a suicide squeeze. But they ended up getting a run more than they bargained for when Houston Astros start Wade Miley scooped the ball well over catcher Robinson Chirinos' head, allowing second base runner Adam Engel to score with ease.
It might not be how they drew it up, but the White Sox will take it all the same.
As for Miley and the Astros, they're probably wishing he had just held onto the ball, because that play cost them the lead and was completely avoidable.
