VIDEO: Auburn RB JaTarvious Whitlow Crashes Into Mississippi State Bulldog 'Bully' on TD Run
By Jerry Trotta
It didn't take long for No. 7 Auburn to assert their dominance on the road against 3-1 Mississippi State on Saturday evening. The Tigers scored on their FIRST play from scrimmage when tailback JaTarvious Whitlow took a draw play 30 yards to the house. It was a dead-sprint race to the pylon and the Bulldogs secondary almost caught the young RB, shoving him out of bounds JUST as he crossed the goal line. As it turns out, Miss State took more than one L on the play as Whitlow's momentum took him into an innocent bulldog who was definitely NOT expecting the contact. For all the dog lovers out there (we hope it's everybody), the pupper is doing just fine.
The doggo literally personified more resistance on Whitlow's impact than the Bulldogs did on his TD scamper. And he subsequently walked it off like a champ.
What a good boy!
We're relieved the pupper is doing OK, but please get him away from the sidelines. Our hearts cannot withstand the sight of him getting leveled again tonight.
