VIDEO: Austin Romine Clobbers Home Run to Dead Center to Extend Yankees' Lead
By Adam Weinrib
The Replace for 28 crew just keeps rolling on. The New York Yankees may be missing Gary Sanchez, but aren't missing his power, at the moment, because Austin Romine seems to have absorbed it all, Kirby-style. Romine saw the Orioles cut the Yankees' lead to 5-4, and responded in kind by immediately launching a blast dead central to change the scoreboard once more.
Add this to his two-run double earlier, the only non-dinger Yankees runs of the game, and Romie My Homie has been quite the important player at Camden Yards.
Sanchez is due back soon, but the Yanks have one of the more valuable backups in the game, even when pressed into full-time duty.
