VIDEO: Baker Mayfield Calls Out Myles Garrett After Defender's Heinous Actions in Brawl on TNF
By Thomas Carannante
Baker Mayfield just bought himself a lot of time with his postgame comments. The Cleveland Browns sadly can't even celebrate a big win after a nasty brawl overshadowed their 21-7 triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Myles Garrett was the perpetrator, ripping Mason Rudolph's helmet off and then striking the Steelers QB in the head with it. After the game, Mayfield was asked about the incident and he didn't hold back.
Couldn't have said it better. Baker was tough on his teammate, and rightfully so. The Browns were finally starting to gain some steam and now Garrett, their best defensive player, could be out for the rest of the season after the NFL likely suspends him.
The sad part is that this was far from an isolated incident on Thursday night. Browns players were laying dirty hits all over the field and knocked out two Steelers wide receivers throughout the game.
If the NFL truly values player safety, the league will hand down some harsh suspensions and fines for those involved endangering others.
