VIDEO: Baker Mayfield Goes After Refs in Postgame Press Conference Following Loss to Seahawks

The Cleveland Browns fell to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday 32-28, officially dropping to 2-4 on the season. With all the hype surrounding them this offseason, the Browns have yet to live up to expectations. Despite hanging in tough with the Seahawks, quarterback Baker Mayfield let it be known that he wasn't too fond of the officiating by Adrian Hill on Sunday, after his team blew a rather robust first-half lead at home.
“The refs are never an excuse,” Mayfield said, via Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan. “I’ll probably get fined for this, but they were pretty bad today...It ticks me off.”
There were two plays that stuck out that ticked off both Mayfield and the Browns team as a whole. In the third quarter, receiver Jarvis Landry was called for a blindside block, which the second-year quarterback said wasn't correct.
The other play also involved Landry as well, as he reached for the end zone on a reception while getting hit by Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner. Landry fumbled as a result, but the ball was recovered by Browns running back Nick Chubb. However, since it was fourth down, Landry was called the only player eligible to recover the ball.
Since it wasn't Landry, it didn't count, despite head coach Freddie Kitchens' insistence to challenge the play. Turned out, however, that the Browns were bailed out by Seattle having 12 men on the field, and couldn't convert on the fourth-down retry.
While the loss stings for the Browns, they have the bye week upcoming, before playing an ultra-tough opponent in the New England Patriots.
