VIDEO: Bears Coach Matt Nagy Appears to Make NSFW Slip-Up During 7th-Inning Stretch at Wrigley
By Jerry Trotta
You don't have to be baseball aficionado to know the words to the iconic "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" jingle. The lyrics should simply just roll off the tongue. Of course, the Chicago Cubs' seventh inning stretches at Wrigley Field often feature celebrities singing the renowned tune. And the guest invited for Wednesday afternoon's contest against the Cincinnati Reds was Bears head coach Matt Nagy. Unfortunately, however, the second-year HC appeared to make a massive blunder while leading the sing-along. Have a look (and listen):
YIKES.
That gaffe is as clear as day no matter how many times you play the clip back.
This is a piece of news that we can honestly admit we'd never be delivering. We just can't fathom how Nagy could manage botch such a simple, prominent anthem.
Even some befuddled ticketholders were quick to pick up on the goof.
We'd normally play the pessimistic skeptic and not rule out the possibility that the original video was edited. But, when fans are even displaying their bewilderment it's hard to just not admit that Nagy messed up.
