VIDEO: Bears Fans at Least Have This Memory of Devin Hester's Kick Return in the Super Bowl
By Jerry Trotta
Is it fair to say that the Chicago Bears have been the most underwhelming, if not the most exasperating, team through nine weeks of the 2019 season? The potential of their championship level defense has been hindered by a non-existent offense conducted by Mitch Trubisky, who, when all is said and done, is probably not good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Sunday's loss to the Eagles saw Chicago fall to 3-5 on the year, and while spirits are low, reliving the Devin Hester days is a great way to mitigate your nausea. In honor of the legendary returner's 37th birthday, let's take a stroll down memory lane to his electric kick return touchdown inSuper Bowl XLI.
Listen Bears fans, it's imperative that you only relive this particular play, and not the rest of the game. We hate to kick somebody when their down, so we will not disclose the outcome. We'll leave that to you (if you dare).
When the going gets tough, sometimes the only cure is to champion past triumphs, and Hester's all-time great returning prowess absolutely qualifies for that.
If you need us, we'll join Bears fans in watching kick and punt return clips of Hester on YouTube for the next few hours.
Do not disturb.
