VIDEO: Benches Clear in Diamondbacks-Dodgers Game After Archie Bradley Shoos Away AJ Pollock
By Michael Luciano
There's nothing like some good, old fashioned NL West beef to cap off the night. Following a save in a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in 11 innings, Arizona Diamondbacks closer Archie Bradley had a few choice words for Dodgers outfielder AJ Pollock, who was a teammate of Bradley's for four seasons. Clayton Kershaw and Justin Turner, among others, took exception to Bradley's display and cleared their bench.
The dispute allegedly started when Pollock was hit on the wrist with a Bradley pitch, but he didn't take first base after the umpire declared it to be a foul ball that just grazed his bat.
Manager Dave Roberts was noticeably hot. Roberts claims he wasn't pleased with Bradley shooing Pollock away at the end of the at-bat.
Bradley claims that the Dodgers were the main instigator in this incident and that he was merely responding to the chorus of f-bombs coming from the Dodgers dugout.
The Diamondbacks might be 17 games back, but that won't stop them from trying to one-up their hated rivals.
