VIDEO: Benches Clear With Multiple Ejections After Joe Musgrove Plunks Josh Donaldson in Atlanta
By Jerry Trotta

Scenes in Atlanta! Everybody knows that Josh Donaldson wears his emotion on his sleeve. Whether it's a monstrous bat flip or emphatic celebration after a web gem, the former American League MVP always seems to deliver the theatrics. But on Monday night, Donaldson took things to a level we don't often see displayed by the three-time All-Star. Check out the Braves third baseman ignite a benches-clearing scrap against the Pirates after getting apparently beaned by Pittsburgh starter Joe Musgrove.

Both were ejected after this skirmish, which began when Donaldson was hit by a pitch.pic.twitter.com/ufHfBIiku7
"What are you looking at?" uttered Donaldson in Musgrove's direction before shoving Pittsburgh catcher Elias Diaz, setting off the fireworks.
If not for Diaz, however, we could have very well seen a legitimate brawl between Donaldson and Musgrove.
So how does Joe Musgrove get ejected for this? Donaldson lost his mind. Here’s a note for him— pitching inside us part of the game. Umpires blew it too. pic.twitter.com/JhTasjjMyl

The players were ultimately separated but we absolutely love to see this kind of passion on display in the second week of June. Multiple ejections, folks! The dog days of summer are here a bit early.
