VIDEO: Bernie Sanders Says What We're All Thinking About the Knicks in Desus and Mero Interview
By Michael Luciano
We're in the middle of a very divisive political climate, but one issue both Democrats and Republicans can agree on is the fact that the New York Knicks are every bit the tire fire they were on James Dolan's first day in office. In an interview with Desus and Mero, both of whom are devoted Knicks fans, Sanders could do little more than offer his best wishes to the moribund franchise.
Sanders, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, knows just what the Knicks were in their heyday, and what it could mean to the NBA if they were a powerhouse once again. Unfortunately, James Dolan still owns the team, and unless a hypothetical President Sanders issues an executive order that forces the JD and the Straight Shot front man to sell the squad, things aren't going to get much better.
Bernie likely won't need any help winning the state of New York should he get the nomination, but NBA fans from all over the country would probably swing over to Bernie's side if he can at least make the Knicks watchable.
