VIDEO: Bill Belichick is Clearly Fed up With Questions About Filming Bengals
By Michael Luciano
Spygate 2.0 is in full swing, but Patriots head Bill Belichick wants nothing to do with talking about it. A Pats video crew was caught filming the sideline and play calls of the Cincinnati Bengals, the team New England plays this week. When taken to task over this latest controversy on Wednesday, Belichick was one again condescending and agitated, and was not in any mood to discuss anything other than football.
The return of scandal AND the return of, "We're onto Cincinnati"?! What a week!
The team itself has already thrown an independent contractor that filmed the footage under the bus, saying that they broke an NFL rule by filming the sideline from the press box.
That explanation might satisfy some, but Belichick is simply being foolish if he really believed that this would be the end of the videotaping saga. His decision to get aggressive when asked about it should set off further alarm bells amongst the ranks of league conspiracy theorists.
Belichick might not want to face the music, but he's got himself embroiled in another potentially major scandal, be it through his fault or someone else's. As the head coach, getting defensive and snippy about it makes for an optical nightmare.
