VIDEO: Bill O'Brien Accidentally Says He's Cutting Texans Beat Writer Instead of DB Aaron Colvin
By Jerry Trotta

Get a load of this one, folks, because it truly might be the first and last time you witness it. Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien dropped some unsuspecting news to the media during Wednesday's press conference. While addressing the organization's decision to cut ties with cornerback Aaron Colvin, O'Brien mistakenly claimed that the franchise was parting ways with the Houston Chronicle's Texans beat writer Aaron Wilson, who was in attendance for the press conference.
BREAKING:@AaronWilson_NFL has been cut by the Texans...somehow.

Newspapers & digital media companies around the country have 7 days to waiver claim him until he becomes a free agent.
Sad to see you go my friend. pic.twitter.com/kbaud2q164
Yikes, Bill.
You can see Wilson awkwardly shuffle in his seat afterwards, clearly caught off guard by O'Brien's freudian slip. To make matters even more awkward, the pair completely avoid eye contact afterwards, as O'Brien just casts a gaze into nothingness in the corner of the room.
Excellent work right here. https://t.co/eNsftgoWTl

The only thing that's left to do now is wait around to see what news outlet is the first to claim Wilson off waivers. If he isn't claimed, he will become a restricted free agent, free to sign a contract with any team in the league.
We'll see if Wilson comments on the slip up in a future column about the Texans.
