VIDEO: Blue Jays Phenom Cavan Biggio Records First Career MLB Hit
By Parker White

Put that ball in the trophy case! The Toronto Blue Jays just called up one of their top prospects, infielder Cavan Biggio, and in his first two games he was 0-for-6 with three strikeouts. But with Hall of Fame dad Craig in the stands, the younger Biggio finally got his first career knock out of the way with a single to right field. Take a look:
The journey begins!

Congrats to @doinitBIGgio23 on his first career @MLB hit! pic.twitter.com/5RHDJFw91t
Biggio's base hit put runners at first and third with nobody out. It may not be as sexy as a home run, but it led to an RBI force out to put the Blue Jays up 1-0 over the San Diego Padres.
Congrats Cavan Biggio on your first MLB hit. Only 3060 more to go to beat your dad!

At the tail end of the clip, you can see a beaming Craig Biggio clapping in celebration of his son's first hit in the Show. It even looked like he was getting a little choked up over the moment, which anyone can understand.
