VIDEO: Blues Goalie Jordan Binnington Throws a Cheap Elbow at David Backes' Face During Scrum

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals is well under way and things have been chippy from the get-go. In the midst of a scrum for an already frozen puck, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington threw a cheap elbow right into the face of Boston Bruins center David Backes.

Backes has been the target of the Blues' aggression thus far. They seem determined to show that, while there's no love lost for the former captain, this is the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and old ties are at least temporarily broken.
With the game tied at 2-2, it's understandable that things were getting tense, but that doesn't excuse Binnington sneaking in a cheap shot right under the nose of the official.
